2024 Photo Highlights

This year has been filled with heartwarming moments, vibrant colors, and inspiring stories. Photography has the power to capture memories, build connections, and even create change—and 2024 was no exception. Let's take a look back at some of my favorite photos (and the special stories behind them) from this remarkable year.

Starting 2024 Beachside

The year began in the best way I know—at the beach with my camera and the squad. There’s something so serene yet exhilarating about capturing moments in this beautiful setting. It still holds a special place as one of my favorite spots to create timeless memories through photography.

Fundraisers That Made a Difference

Community and giving back are at the heart of what we do, and this year was no different. Terri Jacobson Photography hosted three photo fundraisers for local non-profit organizations, and with your support, we made some remarkable contributions.

  • Pooch Playoffs returned with a bang, featuring 37 talented pups who brought their A-game! Together, we raised an incredible $3,600 for Born Again Pit Bull Rescue.
  • The second annual Little Critters Rescue calendar fundraiser was a joy to execute. This year's theme, Frolic in the Forest, saw 19 delightful dogs shining on the calendar pages. Not only did we cover the printing costs of 300 calendars, but we also donated an additional $885 to the rescue.
  • We wrapped the year in festive spirit with Santa Paws, where 45 dogs embarked on a magical sleigh ride through a Christmas Tree Farm. This enchanting event supported Operation Dog, and we proudly donated $2,800 to their cause.

Supporting Pets in Need

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping animals waiting for their forever homes. This year, our studio’s doors welcomed 53 dogs and cats in need of adoption portraits. Sprucing up their photos gave these pets a chance to shine, helping them find the loving families they deserve.

Adventures in the Willamette Valley

Our travels around the Willamette Valley brought countless opportunities to explore new and beautiful locations for pet photography. Whether it was sunrise sessions in the tulip fields, strolling through lavender and sunflower farms, or capturing the golden tones of fall leaves, each session was as unique as the pets and families I photographed. The endless beauty of the valley continues to inspire every shot I take.

Gratitude Beyond Words

To my incredible clients—thank you. Your trust allows me to capture the love, quirks, and personalities of your furry family members. This year, I had the pleasure of photographing countless cats, dogs, horses, and their wonderful humans. Every moment shared with you is a memory I cherish deeply.

And to my own fluffy family, who serve as my models, muses, and constant companions—you are my world. I don’t know what I would do without you.

The Wedding Celebration of the Year

We ended 2024 on a high note with the "wedding" of the year! Kiwi and Sterling, our two adorable exchange students, sealed their bond with some sweet, sloppy kisses before moving to their new home in New Zealand. It was a lighthearted and heartwarming way to wrap up the year—and I know that their love story will continue in new places and beyond.

Looking Ahead to 2025

While 2024 was filled with cherished memories, I am already dreaming about what’s to come. Sunrise sessions in blooming fields of flowers, collaborations with more amazing non-profits, and countless moments that remind us of the unconditional love pets bring to our lives.

To all the pet lovers, local non-profit supporters, and wonderful families who shared this year with me—thank you. Your support, kindness, and love for your furry friends give my work meaning. Here’s to making 2025 just as magical!

Would you like to be part of next year’s adventures? Drop me a message to schedule your pet photography session or learn more about how you can get involved with upcoming fundraisers.

With love and gratitude,

Terri Jacobson
