Honeydew: Sweet, Spicy, and Ready for Her Forever Couch

There’s something magical about a dog that can go from full-blown zoomies to full-on snuggle mode in the blink of an eye—and Honeydew has mastered that magic.

At around 18 months old, Honeydew is the perfect blend of young energy and grown-up heart. Her days are filled with joy—zooming around with toys, wrestling with doggy friends (she plays hard), and then flopping over for some serious couch potato time. She’s the life of the party and the queen of the cuddle pile.

This freckle-faced beauty has a resilient spirit, too. After being hit by a car and undergoing hip surgery, Honeydew spent several long months on kennel rest. But you’d never know it by the way she bounds through life now—like she’s determined to make up for every moment she missed.

Some of her greatest hits:

  • Tossing toys in the air to entertain herself—she cracks herself up.

  • Greet-you-at-the-door tail wags that will melt your heart.

  • Chewing contentedly on a stick or toy after a long play session.

  • Winning over everyone she meets, from kids to adults.

Honeydew would love a home with another sturdy, playful dog who can match her rough-and-tumble style. She can be a bit of a resource guarder with toys and chews when she first arrives, but settles in beautifully once she knows she’s safe.

She’s looking for someone who appreciates her zest for life, her couch-loving ways, and the joy of watching a dog truly come into her own.
