For a few magical mornings each spring, the tulip fields wake up in waves of color.
Add one curious dog, a little golden sunrise, and suddenly the whole place feels like a painting.
There is something quietly magical about the tulip fields at sunrise.
The farm is still waking up. A light mist floats above the rows, the sky begins to soften with color, and for a little while it feels like the entire place belongs just to the early birds… and the dogs.
These limited sunrise sessions are a chance to create something truly special — joyful portraits surrounded by thousands of blooming tulips and the wide open beauty of the Willamette Valley.
Tulip sessions are relaxed, playful, and a little bit adventurous.
We’ll wander the fields together while the light is soft and the crowds are still sleeping. Your dog can sniff, explore, and enjoy the moment while I quietly create portraits along the way.
You don’t need a perfectly trained dog.
You just need a dog who loves being with you.
And somewhere in between the wiggles, the curious noses, and the sunrise glow… the magic happens.
The tulip fields are beautiful because they are carefully tended by the farmers who grow them.
To help keep them that way, we stay on the dirt paths and avoid stepping into the rows. It helps protect the flowers so everyone can enjoy them.
Dogs are welcome — and adored — but we’ll also make sure they don’t leave their own “fertilizer contributions” behind in the fields.

These sessions are offered in very limited numbers each spring because the bloom window is short and sunrise waits for no one.
If the idea of watching the sun rise over a sea of tulips with your dog sounds like your kind of morning…
I’d love to photograph you there.
