Personality Traits

Tyson is a 3-4 year old terrier mix who is always up for an adventure. His tricolor-black, brown, and white coat adds to his charming personality. Tyson loves every human and dog he meets and has a special talent—he knows how to open the dog gate! You'll never have to worry about him begging for food, either.

Ideal Home

Tyson dreams of being someone’s wingman. He would thrive in a home with another dog to play with but would also be perfectly happy with a human to call his own. He’s great with kids, loves running errands, and gets along with cats and other dogs.

Heartwarming Details

Loud noises don’t bother Tyson, and he’s incredibly well-behaved when left alone. He hasn’t met a dog or person he doesn’t like, and other dogs love him in return. With his lovable personality and unique skills, Tyson truly is a one-of-a-kind companion looking for a family to complete.

Adoption Story

Tyson was picked up as a stray by the Marion County Dog Shelter. His previous owners made an appointment to pick him up but never showed. Tyson has been at the rescue for six months and is doing wonderfully, but he’s ready for his forever home.

Special Needs

When Tyson came into rescue, he wasn't neutered yet and loved marking his territory. Now that he’s neutered, his marking has decreased by 95%. Little Critters Rescue is hopeful that his marking will stop altogether once he finds his forever home. In the meantime, he wears a belly band, which works perfectly.

Tyson also had some separation anxiety when he first arrived at the rescue, but that has since disappeared. He’s now ready to be the best companion you could ask for.
