Pack Your PawsPort: A New Portrait Adventure Begins

For the past few months, I’ve had a front-row seat to the adventures of three rather extraordinary Newfoundlands.

Since April, Re, Ooset and Kitty have traveled by train, tiptoed through the tulips of Holland, explored Japan and found more than a little romance in Provence. With every destination, Katharine and I have created another chapter in their wonderfully imaginative story.

Somewhere along the way, I began to wonder:

What if other pets could pack their PawsPorts, too?

That little question grew into PawsPort Adventures—a collection of limited-edition portrait experiences that will carry pets into beautifully imagined worlds, one destination at a time.

And our first flight is now boarding.

Next stop: Transylvania.

Something Has Been Brewing

For weeks, curious things have been appearing in the studio.

First came the roses—deep reds and purples that seemed to bloom only after dark. Then a moon rose between the ancient columns. Candles began floating overhead, and an enormous cauldron settled into the middle of it all.

Clearly, Transylvania had arrived.

There was only one thing left to do: send in a brave traveler and see what happened.

Avanti Goes First

Avanti stepped into this strange new world and made himself perfectly at home.

He settled above the glowing cauldron, surrounded by floating candles, moonlight and roses, looking less like an innocent visitor and more like the one responsible for the whole enchantment.

Apparently, every adventure needs a little magic—and someone willing to go first.

Your Boarding Pass to Transylvania

Now it’s your pet’s turn.

Each Transylvania session is a private, 60-minute portrait adventure with plenty of time for your pet to explore, settle in and reveal exactly what sort of character they might become beneath a Transylvanian moon.

Will they be mysterious? Regal? Delightfully suspicious?

We won’t know until they arrive.

Costumes are welcome but never required. The setting brings plenty of drama all on its own. Sessions include up to two pets, and larger packs are welcome with advance notice.

A Souvenir from the Journey

The $175 session fee includes the Transylvania portrait experience, a personal Gallery Reveal & Ordering Appointment and a double-sided acrylic keychain featuring two favorite portraits, along with the two matching digital image files.

Additional artwork will be available for purchase, with no minimum purchase required.

Best of all, $100 from every Transylvania session—plus 10% of artwork purchases—will be donated to Operation D.O.G., helping dogs in need find their way toward adventures of their own.
